MFA-AIMA Summary of Recommendations on SEC Advertising Rule

On March 26, MFA and AIMA had calls with the SEC Commissioners and Staff from the Division of Investment Management to discuss member concerns with the proposed advertising rule as reflected in our February 10 comment letter. As a follow-up to those discussions, today, we submitted the attached document to the SEC, which summarizes the recommendations on the proposed rule from our comment letter and provides a mark-up of the rule text consistent with those recommendations. We hope that this document will be helpful to the SEC as they refine the proposal.
