Andrew Sacher

Andrew Sacher is MFA’s Vice President, Director of Research. Andrew is responsible for executing the overall policy and research strategy through in-depth research and complex analysis of policy issues affecting MFA’s policy and regulatory positions. He comes to MFA from Penn Wharton Budget Model where he developed PWBM’s initial microsimulation model and built its data warehouse which powers USAFacts. He has held positions at The Lindsey Group, the White House’s National Economic Council, Caxton Associates and Matrix Capital Management. In addition, Andrew has consulted on secular stagnation research. Andrew has a BA in economics from Harvard, where he graduated magna cum laude in three years. He is a CFA charter holder.
