MFA submitted a letter to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network in response to it’s Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Requirements. In the letter, MFA calls for exemptions that apply to private investment funds be extended to the entire firm, and for the exemption from the beneficial ownership reporting requirements be self-executing, among other things.
