MFA Letter to Chairman Rangel Expressing Concerns With Proposed Tax Legislation

MFA sent a letter to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY), expressing our concerns about his proposed tax legislation. In the letter, MFA specifically cites the retroactive nature of the deferred compensation provisions as the most troublesome. On Thursday, the Ways and Means Committee is expected to mark up a one-year “patch” for the AMT using the deferred compensation provisions and the change in carried interest.
