Sarah Morgan is Director, Government Relations. In this capacity, Sarah is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of MFA’s political and advocacy outreach efforts with the Executive Branch, Congress and relevant regulatory agencies. Sarah works directly with Roger Hollingsworth, MFA’s executive vice president and managing director, government relations, to devise MFA’s legislative and regulatory priorities and initiatives.
Before joining MFA, Sarah worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services as assistant director of communications and on-the-record spokesperson for capital markets, insurance, government sponsored enterprises, international trade, and housing policy issues. Prior to that, Sarah worked for ten years in the office of former House Banking Committee Chairman Jim Leach (R-IA), spending most of her tenure there as a senior legislative assistant working on social policy and humanities issues and special projects. Sarah received her B.A. from Trinity College, Washington, D.C.
