Executive Assistant, President and CEO

Lynn Kirk is MFA’s Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. In this capacity, Lynn manages the President’s office and travel schedules.  She also maintains the MFA master calendar for the year and works closely with MFA’s Management Team. She works diligently and in concert with MFA’s Board of Directors, MFA’s Founders Council and MFA’s Strategic Partners in arranging and coordinating monthly events, meetings and calls.

She is a native Mississippian and began her career as a Deputy Clerk in the Jackson County Chancery Clerk’s office responsible for recordation of Deeds, Deeds of Trust, UCC’s and back taxes on property and compiled reports due to the State Auditors.  She also worked in the Chancery Court, where she managed the scheduling of court dates for all filings with each of the Chancery judges, and in 1990 Lynn received her Paralegal certification.

She began her Washington, DC career on Capitol Hill with then Congressman Trent Lott in 1984 and joined Lott in the Senate in 1988. In 1991 she was employed by Congressman Richard H. Baker as his Executive Assistant/Office Manager. She supervised the day to day operations of the DC office and coordinated the Congressman’s schedule.  As Office Manager, she assumed responsibility for budgeting and accounting and remained in that capacity until 2008, when she joined MFA.  Her extensive knowledge of Capitol Hill and Congressional relations brings an important perspective to the MFA office.
