The second day of MFA’s hedge fund leadership conference, Outlook 2013, kicked off with a discussion on issues surrounding cyber security in the global alternative investment industry. Panelists shared their concerns relating to the threat landscape and shared best practices to help prepare for an attack.
Panelists included David Bitkower, Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York; Eric M. Friedberg, Co-President, Stroz Friedberg; and, Marc Zwillenger, Founder and Managing Member, ZwillGen PLLC. Eric R. Komitee, General Counsel, Viking Global Investors LP, moderated the session.
The session also focused on social media policies that can be implemented as the popularity of such social networks continues to rise. The importance of corporate governance was also highlighted among the panelists.
