MFA’s Outlook 2013 continued this morning with an open panel discussion that focused on issues in the European Union, focusing on elections, regulations, and their impact on the financial services industry. Recent German elections and the impending EU Parliament and Commission elections will have a profound impact on efforts by policy makers to stabilize their financial system and strengthen the “single market” economy. The panel of European political, legislative, and regulatory policy experts engaged in an in-depth analysis of the impact Europe’s evolving political dynamics will have on the future of financial regulation.
