Opening Remarks: James O'Brien, MFA Director and Officer at a Member Firm of the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets’ (PWG) Asset Managers Committee on Best Practices, and Chief Operating Officer, Cantillon Capital Management Jim O’Brien will share his perspective on the various sound practices initiatives, including the PWG’s draft recommendations, MFA’s Sound Practices for Hedge Fund Managers (Sound Practices) and other industry guidance. He will also provide a review of the underlying core principles presented in Sound Practices and the path toward achieving a uniform global approach to industry self-oversight.

Panel 1: Sound Practices Highlights
This panel will provide an overview of the latest expansion of and improvements to MFA’s Sound Practices including updated guidance on risk management, valuation, code of ethics, documentation policies and controls, counterparty relationships, use of third parties, regulatory compliance and AML policies.
