MFA is an individual-based membership trade association whose members are professionals engaged in the alternative investment industry including hedge funds and other asset managers, service providers (such as accountants, administrators, attorneys, exchanges and other consultants) and other industry participants.

The number of individual memberships each member receives depends on the level at which they join, as detailed under each membership category. MFA’s membership year runs from October 1 – September 30.
