The 12th Annual New York Open Your Heart to the Childen Benefit is Hedge Funds Care’s flagship event and one of the key charity events in the hedge fund industry, gathering over 1,000 industry leaders and raising well over $1,000,000 for child abuse prevention and treatment programs in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The Co-Chairs for the event are Dean C. Backer, Goldman Sachs and Richard H. Baker, Managed Funds Association.
Hedge Funds Care is an international charity whose mission is preventing and treating child abuse. This mission is accomplished by raising money and awarding grants in 11 cities in the United States, Canada, the Cayman Islands, and the UK. Since inception in 1998, over 600 grants totaling $21 million have been awarded to organizations addressing child abuse.
