Catherine Van Son serves as Director, Member Services to bring a strong focus to the most important mission of MFA, our members. In her position she will concentrate her efforts on serving the members and continuously working towards creating value for their membership. Catherine joined MFA earlier this year as manager, committees and programs. In this position, she served as the operational staff liaison to all of MFA’s advisory committees. She will continue to provide oversight in these areas.
Prior to joining MFA, Catherine was the director of strategic initiatives at the DC-based Council for Excellence in Government (CEG). While at CEG, she managed the communities of “C-level” executives in government and designed programs appropriate to those audiences. The “C-level” audience included chief financial, information, human capital and acquisition officers. For the last eight years, Catherine has been honing her skills at content creation for various communities and industries, including telecom, electric utilities, government, and not-for-profits, and she is excited to now be serving the managed funds industry.
Catherine earned her undergraduate business degree from Ithaca College and also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
