UK Public Pension Looks to Hedge Fund of Fund to Manage $170 Million

The Cornwall Council Pension Fund, a public pension in the United Kingdom, is searching for a fund of funds manager to manage $170 million of its portfolio.  The pension is looking for a manager to assist with strategy allocation, investment and operational due diligence, and the selection of hedge fund managers.  It is also seeking a manager to monitor investment information and “provide quarterly commentary,” according to a report from Infovest21.

The Cornwall Council Pension Fund represents over 100 local employers.  It has $2.2 billion in assets, with hedge funds managing $87.5 million as of March 31, 2013.
