MFA Releases First in a Series of Educational Hedge Fund Videos

Posted on June 18, 2013

The Managed Funds Association is pleased to announce the release of the first in a series of videos on the basics and relevant issues of the global hedge fund industry.  The video, “What is a Hedge Fund?” explains hedge funds and how institutional investors can benefit from them.

Over the last two years MFA has greatly expanded its offering of educational materials, including the Hedge Fund Fundamentals website.  This video series is posted on YouTube and is designed to serve as another valuable multimedia resource for information on the global hedge fund industry.  As an addition to MFA’s multimedia online library of educational materials, the hedge fund video series will supplement the other resources and provide more dynamic content for people wanting to learn more about our industry.

MFA’s President and CEO Richard H. Baker discusses the basics of the hedge fund industry in “What is a Hedge Fund?”  The upcoming videos in the series cover how hedge funds manage risk, how they are regulated in the U.S. and the EU, and how hedge funds help pension funds meet their obligations, among other topics.

“What is a Hedge Fund?” is now available for online viewing.  For additional videos be sure to check back to MFA’s You Tube channel often over the next few weeks.  Stay tuned to @MFAUpdates on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates.
